Azmatullah Omarzai in IPL 2025 Bought By Punjab Kings || IPL 2025 ||

Azmatullah Omarzai, the Afghan all-rounder, is set to play for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL).

During the IPL 2025 mega auction, PBKS secured his services for ₹2.4 crore.

Omarzai’s arrival to join the PBKS squad has been delayed due to personal reasons.

He is expected to arrive in India on March 21, just a few days before PBKS’s season opener against the Gujarat Titans on March 25.

In the previous IPL season (2024), Omarzai represented the Gujarat Titans, playing in seven matches where he scored 42 runs and took four wickets. His recent performances have been impressive, notably contributing to Afghanistan’s historic semi-final appearance in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Additionally, he has achieved the status of the top-ranked all-rounder in One Day Internationals (ODIs).

PBKS boasts a strong lineup of all-rounders, including Glenn Maxwell, Marco Jansen, and Marcus Stoinis. Omarzai’s recent form strengthens his case for inclusion in the playing XI, and his versatility is expected to be a valuable asset for PBKS in the upcoming season.
